Craig Vine, MD

Dr. Craig Vine is a board-certified psychiatrist and is the Medical Director at Psych Recovery, Inc.

Dr. Craig Vine completed undergraduate training at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. He received his M.D. at the University of Iowa and completed psychiatric residency through the University of Minnesota. He was on staff at Regions Hospital in St. Paul from 1992 through 2001, where he was director of outpatient services and practiced consultation-liaison psychiatry and psychopharmacology research. Dr. Vine was an active staff member at the M Health-Fairview 2001 to 2021, where he practiced inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, consultation-liaison and ECT (electroconvulsive therapy).

Dr. Vine joined PR in 2002. He sees adults for mood and anxiety disorders, eating disorders, psychosis, dementia and general psychiatric care. He leads the TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation) program. He is involved in VNS (vagal nerve stimulation) therapy.

Dr. Vine is an assistant professor in the department of psychiatry at the University of Minnesota. Formerly, Dr. Vine worked at the Dorothy Day Clinic for the Homeless, the Ramsey County Mental Health Center, Open Cities Health Center, and the Minnesota Prison System.

Dr. Vine received his board certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He has been a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the Minnesota Psychiatry Society.

Dr. Vine has received numerous honors and awards throughout his career. St. Paul Magazine named Dr. Vine one of the "Top 100 Physicians" in the Twin Cities, Minnesota Monthly Magazine named him one of the "Top Doctors for Women" and Dr. Vine was named a "Top Doctor" by Mpls St Paul Magazine multiple times.
